LiquidSmooth ROM + Uber Kernel for AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717/SGH-i717R!

For this week’s AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717 ROM of the Week, check out LiquidSmooth ROM with Uber kernel! (You can also install on Canadian SGH-i717R.)

Based on latest Android 4.4.4, LiquidSmooth ROM brings you a nice stable ROM along with lag-free performance.  Although it’s lag-free out of the box, you can install Uber kernel and overclock it up to 1.89Ghz for ultimate performance.

For customization options, you will get the usual AOSP options like full customization for your status bar, Power Menu, lockscreen, notifications, quick toggles, and more. Â

BeanStalk ROM with Android 4.4.2 KitKat for AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717!

For this week’s AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717 ROM of the week, do check out the latest BeanStalk ROM.

BeanStalk ROM now ships with Android 4.4.2 KitKat along with lots of goodies like endless number of customization, overclocking (if you install Uber kernel with patch below), and everything working smoothly out of the box.

For this week’s AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717 ROM of the week (and also for Rogers/Telus/Bell users), check out the preview version of BeanStalk ROM with latest Android 4.4 KitKat.

This version of BeanStalk ROM is still a work in progress and has everything working out of the box except for video replay, camcorder, and YouTube, which are broken.  Luckily, we do have CWM Recovery to backup your current ROM and try it out for few hours.  My best suggestion is to simply install the latest version of CWM Recovery v6.0.4.3 (as you need it for installation), make a backup R

How To Install Android 4.4 KitKat Compatible CWM Recovery on AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717!

For those of you who want to install the latest Android 4.4 KitKat ROMs on your AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717 (or Canadian Telus/Bell Rogers i717R), you need to be using at least CWM Recovery version 6.0.4.3 or higher.  (TWRP is not compatible with Android 4.4 KitKat yet!!!)

To install the latest CWM Recovery, you simply need to grab the zip file and install it with your existing CWM Recovery, as shown in above video tutorial.  You can find the latest CWM recovery here.

Stock Android 4.1.2 Firmware with Root for AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717!

For those of you who have been waiting for awhile for official Jelly Bean for your AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717, it is finally here.

You can grab the rooted version that you can flash using your CWM/TWRP recovery OR you can also grab the totally-official, non-rooted version you can flash using ODIN.

How is the stock Android 4.1.2? Frankly, it’s very laggy and I don’t actually recommended, I do recommend trying Padawan JB ROM instead along with PhaseKernel.

If you do really want to try it anyways, go ahead and do let me know what you think!
