ICS ROM for Rooted Galaxy Note! [CM9]

According to Samsung’s official statement couple weeks back, ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) for the Galaxy Note will be here shortly in first quarter of 2012.

For those of you who can’t wait, you can go ahead and try ICS yourself (and runs rather good) by installing CyanogenMod9 (CM9) ROM on your rooted Galaxy Note.

You will lose features like your Camera and S-Pen but the CM9 ICS ROM runs very smooth otherwise and you can get a feel of what the Galaxy Note would run like with the official ICS.

Personally, I think the Galaxy Note is the fastest smartphone on the planet right now (with its dual-core 1.4Ghz Exynos processors), and runs ICS better than even my Galaxy Nexus.

I have flashed the two zip files. However, when my note reboot, I cannot access my system. I don’t know the reason here. Is there anyone having the same problem?

I have solved the problem. I didn’t “wipe date/factory reset” before my installing. I still don’t know what is the exact reason here.

Just installed the RomMov ICS ROM for Galaxy Note N7000 successfully. Everything works fine including the S-pen, but the messaging has stopped working.
Does not open up, and gives an error message saying ” Messaging stopped working.”

Please update me on what can be done.
