Hi, there are a yellow triangle on your recovery.. The android was lying dead there.. Can you fix that? Last time i do data reset from CWM and my phone got bricked…

    • Max says:

Yes that’s normal, I think you have to hit Volume Up and Power buttons together sometimes to get the menus or Volume Up and Down together.

  2. Sarah says:

So I bought a rooted Galaxy Note GT-7000 with a lot of apps in it and I want to wipe out everything on the phone. Can I do it the way you showed in the video. I mean is it safe? Cause I read somewhere that you shouldn’t wipe out your phone once its rooted or something. Help Please.
    Thanks in advance.

    • Max says:

Are you on stock ICS? You should be okay so long as you are on stock official. Or if you want, you can also install custom ICS ROM, that will start you on scratch also.

  3. Sarah says:

    Thanks for the reply.
I don’t understand what you mean by “Are you on stock ICS?”.

    Ice Cream Sandwich

    • Max says:

Hmmm… maybe don’t do this then, it might actually be better to do factory reset before you unroot using Abyss, just in case. Not that I’ve had any bricks though after unrooting and doing factory reset.

  8. Zeon says:

Can u please tell me if i can do a factory reset the way you showed after flashing ICS 4.0.4(from your how to unroot ICS 4.0.4 on galaxy note guide)? Or do i need to flash abyss kernel then go into clockword mod recovery then do the factory reset to be safe from the brick bug?
I am very new at this so some feedback would be very much appreciated Thanks 🙂
My phone is Galaxy Note GT-N7000

    • Max says:

Yes flash Abyss kernel, wipe then unroot to be extra safe.

      • Zeon says:

Thnaks for the reply but i am not sure i understand u properly though i am running stock gingerbread 2.3.6 now which is safe from the emmc bug i hear and i am planning to go to ics 4.0.4 using your unroot guide(so i dont need to flash abyss kernel to do that,i can directly flash the ics rom using odin)…so you are saying that after i unroot to ics 4.0.4 i should root(using ur root ics on galaxy note guide) my phone again (cause i would lose root coming from gingerbread) then run clockwork mod then flash abyss kernel and then factory reset the phone using the clockwork mod recovery not the stock recovery?or do you mean something else?
I am sorry if seem noobish…but i just dont wanna take any chances with my phone just wanted to be sure
Thanks again for the reply and for the awsome guides

hey so i was flashing the unofficial JellyBean rom on my galaxy note and it had about 4% of battery life and in the middle of it the phone turned off and now it wont turn on. i think its bricked and it there a way to unbrick it? it wont charge and my computer wont recognize it either. i used my friends phone battery to see if it would turn on and no luck. im really worried and even the Galaxy Note GT-N7000 screen wont come up and neither will the recovery screen. btw i still have the warranty but i dont think that they will fix it knowing its a rooted phone. PLEASE HELP ME!

I tried rooting my phone through some youtube video but i think i failed! When I finished, I kept getting force-closes and I can’t open most of my apps, nothing works. Can I do the factory reset on it? I don’t even know if it’s actually rooted now or not :s If it is, will the factory reset unroot it?

  12. Anthony says:

Hi, I have a major issue with my Galalxy Note N-7000. It doesn’t seem to receive calls every once and a while. I may miss several hours of calls. Everything else works great. I’m wondering if a factory reset would resolve this issue. I bought this phone unlocked and worried that resetting may make me lose my unlocked capabilities. What would you suggest.

Hi, I have Note GT700 – Few days back it went blank – complete dark. I tried all various methods of removing battery and re inserting sim and memory card etc. Is there any other way of hard reset of Note? I can’t follow your method as I don’t get any display at all.

hi max how are you thanks for ypir efforts in helping people
i have a stock gingerbread galaxy note,
    stock kernel, and not rooted
no modifications done to the phone
if i am going to update to stock ics through ota and then wipe to restore factory defaults will my phone be bricked because i ran the app gotbrickbug and its saying that i can get bricked
or its only for people who use cwm
    thanks in advance

    • Max says:

The brick only should happen on CWM recovery yes, shouldn’t happen on stock official recovery. If it does, Samsung should replace it free of charge since it’s stock system.
