Need overclocking on your rooted Note GT-N7000 or Note 10.1?
Currently (at the time of writing this), there’s no custom kernel with overclocking for Android 4.1.2 TouchWiz-based ROMs on the GT-N7000. Which means you are stuck with no overclocking and visible lag you don’t like.
Also, Note 10.1 custom kernels are not easy to find, but there’s an easy way to overclock your Note GT-N7000 or Note 10.1 by using an app called “Tegrak Overclock” (See on Play Store).
This app supports any rooted Galaxy Note GT-N7000 or Note 10.1 running TouchWiz-based ROMs to give you overclocking.
For GT-N7000, you can overclock up to 1.6Ghz and for the Note 10.1, up to 1.8Ghz.
Tegrak Overclock app uses kernel “modules” to enable overclocking on your Note, it’s actually a very safe way to overclock as you do not need to install any custom ROMs or kernels. If you don’t like it, you can simply disable it.
I also do recommend getting the Tegrak Overclock pay version dubbed, “Tegrak Overclock Ultimate” (See on Play Store), which allows you to “Set On Boot” so your overclocking settings will stay on reboot and also you can get additional settings for oveclocking your GPU. (*Note – I have no affiliation with the app developer in any way, I just like the app because it’s useful but totally worth $2-3 the paid version is if you plan on overclocking many Samsung devices.)
*Note – Also does work on many other Samsung Android devices like Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S2, Tab 7.0, Tab 7.7, and more…
My recommended overclocking frequencies?
For GT-N7000, set it to 1.6Ghz, most phones should be able to go 1.6Ghz.
For Note 10.1, set it to 1.6-1.65Ghz, you can go higher but for best performance/battery life, 1.6Ghz is optimal.Need Help? Follow/add me on Google+, Facebook, or Twitter!
