For this week’s AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717 ROM of the week, check out ParanoidKangDroid ROM.
Built specifically only for the SGH-i717, ParanoidKangDroid ROM is another great “hybrid” AOSP ROM (what is AOSP?) that’s a mix of AOKP, CM10.1, and ParanoidAndroid ROMs.
It’s very similar to JellyBAM ROM as far as major features of AOKP ROM Control and ParanoidAndroid Settings but you will find some different customization menus in this ROM.

Here’s a quick update on the latest Avatar ROM. Latest Avatar ROM comes with CM10.1 Android 4.2.2, Bazooka Launcher, and more free downloadable themes.
I know some of you were having trouble with the Android 4.1.2 version but the latest Android 4.2.2 version is more stable than ever and you shouldn’t have issues with sound (Working fine with Google Play Music).
Also I do notice much speed/performance improvements. There’s no overclocking on this ROM but it really doesn’t need one as it runs super-fast.

For this week’s ROM of the week, check out The Collective Team’s AOCP ROM, which stands for Android Open Collective Project.
Built on Android 4.2.2 sources, the AOCP ROM is specifically designed for your SGH-i717, and also comes with an orange AOSP theme and overclockable kernel (up to 1.83Ghz). If you are looking to run one of the better Android 4.2.2 on your SGH-i717, definitely give AOCP ROM a try this week and let me know what you think. Should be pretty darn good.

Looking for a good stable ROM for your AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717?
If you haven’t tried the latest Padawan ROM by XDA user Ptmr3 (Follow him on Twitter), definitely this is one of the first custom ROMs to try on the SGH-i717 (also works for Canadian SGH-i717M). Definitely one of my “go to” ROMs, the Padawan ROM gives you speediness and powers of Sony Bravia Engine 2, Note 2 Gallery/icons, and performance improvements you will notice right away.

For those of you looking for more “pure” Android experience, definitely give Gubment Cheese ROM a go. Based on Android 4.1.2 ParanoidAndroid ROM, the Gubment Cheese has a great mix of features like Android 4.2 Photo Sphere camera/GMail/Gallery apps, Awesome Beats app for headphone addicts, GNote app for your S-Pen, and the flexibility of running your favorites apps in Phone or Tablet mode along with CM10 features (as Paranoid Android ROM is based on CM10).

This AOSP ROM features the latest Android 4.1.2 to give you the best of the AOSP and pure Google OS experience. In addition, LiquidSmooth ROM works well with GoogleApps 4.2, which gives you additional bonuses like Photo Sphere camera, GMail 4.2, Calendar 4.2, and more.

For those of you who want to unroot your AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717, here’s how to do it easily using ODIN and stock ROM tar.md5 file on Windows. If you have a Mac or Linux, you can use Mobile ODIN Pro from the Play Store instead. And also if you are returning your phone for warranty purposes, you can reset binary counter by using Triangle Away app before running ODIN or Mobile ODIN.
