Here’s a quick “preview” of Jelly Bean ROM for your AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717. This ROM is still “super beta/alpha” so I actually don’t recommend you to flash this as a lot of important features like WiFi isn’t working. But I just wanted to give you heads up that developers are working on this and it will be here soon!

For those of you rooted and/or on custom ROMs, you don’t have to unroot your phone to get the official Samsung ICS update for your AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717. (I will post that also soon.)
Instead, check out this custom ROM which comes with the official UCLF6 ICS update, rooted, and with wifi tether. Also as a bonus, comes with Nova launcher. It should also run just a “tad” faster than stock as it’s de-odexed and zipaligned.

No, you won’t lose root or CW
Want to run apps in phone mode or tablet mode? Well, you can now run ParanoidAndroid ICS ROM on your AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717, which allows you to individually select apps to run in phone or tablet mode. Besides that, you get a full “Tablet” or “Hybrid” experience, getting the best of both worlds.
One downside is that you will lose the pressure-sensitivity feature on your S-Pen but you can always restore a custom ROM with S-Pen working.

I’ve been running OnlyOne ICS ROM for almost a month and let me tell you it’s been good. But I did find another great ICS ROM for my AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717 that works pretty well.
The ICS Objection ROM comes with TouchWiz UX launcher and regular ICS launcher, allowing you to choose between the latest TouchWiz or a plain Google ICS launcher. Besides that, performance on this ROM is fairly good without overclocking plus you get S-Memo and S-Note app for your S-Pen.

After using OnlyOne ICS ROM for my AT&T Galaxy Note for over a week, I have to confess to you that it’s the best ICS ROM I’ve tried yet so far.
Well, there’s an updated version now, dubbed “HYFR” Beta 4 that brings more cool Galaxy S3 features to the ROM S3 Icons, S3 ringtones, S3 Notfications, S3 UI sounds, S3 Alarm sounds, and best of all, faster performance and many bugs fixed.

Looking for something more than just TouchWiz on your AT&T Galaxy Note?
Well, you can give the “famous” CM9 ICS ROM for your AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717 now. With CM9 ICS ROM, you will lose the pressure-sensitivity feature on your S-Pen but be able to enjoy the full “pure” ICS experience.
Of course, if you really need to use your S-Pen you can always have a custom ROM backed up in CWM so you can easily restore to that ROM when needed.

Honestly, I simply haven’t found a single ICS ROM for my AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717 that I would want to use as a daily driver. My criteria for a daily driver ICS ROM would include the use of the S-Pen and overclocking. I feel that without overclocking the SGH-i717 isn’t usable and you will notice a ton of lag, especially when using the S-Pen. (The GT-N7000 runs without lag though without overclocking, much better processor.)
Anyways, I still think Saurom ROM is the best ROM right now so here’s an updated Saurom ROM RC7.1. I will keep trying more
While Samsung is “still” working on fully-working official ICS for AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717, there’s still some great Gingerbread ROMs you can check out like the Unofficial ROM by The Collective Team, which give you the best of both worlds, S-Pen working and overclocking to 1.9Ghz.
I have to admit, the AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717 is a bit laggier than its original brother GT-N7000 (due to the difference in CPU), but with overclocking that lag is completely gone. We will have to wait for Samsung to release source code for ICS kernels before
