How to Install GB/ICS ROM on Rooted Galaxy Note GT-N7000!

For those of you who want to install GB/ICS ROM on your rooted Galaxy Note GT-N7000 (NOT SGH-i717), here’s a fail-proof and safe way to do it using Abyss kernel.

Simply download the Abyss kernel in CWM zip format or ODIN tar format and install it in CWM or flash it using ODIN. (ODIN for those of you who don’t have a rooted phone OR lost Recovery somehow.)

*Note – This is a GINGERBREAD kernel, PLEASE ONLY FLASH RIGHT BEFORE INSTALLING A NEW ROM!!!

The Unofficial ROM for AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717!

While Samsung is “still” working on fully-working official ICS for AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717, there’s still some great Gingerbread ROMs you can check out like the Unofficial ROM by The Collective Team, which give you the best of both worlds, S-Pen working and overclocking to 1.9Ghz.

I have to admit, the AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717 is a bit laggier than its original brother GT-N7000 (due to the difference in CPU), but with overclocking that lag is completely gone. We will have to wait for Samsung to release source code for ICS kernels before

CM9 ICS ROM for Galaxy Note GT-N7000!

For those of you who must have CM9 (or CyanogenMod9) ICS ROM on your Galaxy Note GT-N7000, there’s now a developmental CM9 ICS ROM you can try. This “beta” CM9 ICS ROM actually works pretty darn flawless, everything working for me without a hiccup. We did have a CM9 for Galaxy Note before, but that one didn’t include a working camera. This one does have a fully working camera and camcorder.

Although you lose the benefits of S-Pen pressure-sensitivit

ICS STUNNER ROM for Galaxy Note GT-N7000!

For this week, check out ICS STUNNER ROM. As it’s name suggest, this ROM comes loaded with cool features like Euphoria Control (in Settings) that allows you to tweak many parts of your phone including UI, performance, and even change phone DPI for tablet mode.

The only thing missing with this ROM is the S-Pen app (as TouchWiz has been completely removed) but if you want a full ICS vanilla experience, you can give this guy a go.

Try it out and let me know how it goes for you!

ICS ROM for AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717! [LEAKED]

For those of you who have been waiting for ICS on your AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717 (or Telus, Bell, and Rogers), your long wait is over as official ICS ROM has been “leaked”.

This ROM is fully operational, everything works out of the box and is probably going to nearly identical to the “official official” ICS ROM. In my testing, this ICS ROM does everything well so if you have been waiting for ICS, wait no more and start flashing.

And yes, you will be able to root this ICS ROM and also get updates (if you don’t root).

Imilka AOSP ICS ROM with Tablet Mode Galaxy Note GT-N7000! [Can’t Do This On iPhone NEVER]

For those of you who want to try the ICS “tablet mode” on your Galaxy Note GT-N7000, you can install Imilka AOSP ICS ROM with tablet mode to bring you full Android tablet user interface. This essentially turns your Galaxy Note into an Android tablet device. Of course, the fonts get a bit smaller in some parts but the good thing is that you will be able to use tablet apps you won’t normally be able to access.

As for icons, someone has pointed out you can actually install Apex launcher from the Play Store and set your icon drawers to 7×7 for bo

How to Unroot Galaxy Note GT-N7000!

For those of you who have bricked your Galaxy Note GT-N7000 for some odd reason (although that’s hard to do) or you simply want to “un-warrantize” your phone so you can return it for warranty, you always have the option to “unroot” your phone completely back to stock.

This will get you back on stock Gingerbread ROM. And if ICS is available by the time you read this, you can still unroot using this method and do a software update on your phone (or use Samsung Kies) to get it all back to stock.

Step 1. Put your Galaxy Note into download mod
