How to Root Galaxy Note 10.1 Wifi GT-N8013!

(Above shows my Wifi Note 10.1 being rooted, the red circle showing that there’s no SIM card slot.)

Well, it seems like Samsung did a good job of maintaining consistency along their Note 10.1 this time around. Unlike Tab 10.1s which required different recoveries for each different models, the Note 10.1 shares the same recovery and other file system partitions, allowing you to easily install the same ClockworkMod Recovery whether you have a GT-N8000 (3g model) or the GT-N8013.

What does this mean?

It just means that there’s more compatibility across all mod

How to Backup/Restore ROM using ClockworkMod Recovery on Galaxy Note 10.1!

For those of you who want to install custom ROMs, I HIGHLY advise you to make a backup of your stock ROM beforehand. Also, you can use the backup/restore feature on the ClockworkMod Recovery to backup and restore your ROM. The ROM refers to your whole system and backing up your ROM backs up everything including your settings, apps, and data except for contents of your internal storage such as photos and videos.

You can also use ClockworkMod Recovery to backup up several different custom ROMs and restore them whenever you want.

To backup ROM, re-boot into ClockworkMo

How to Root T-Mobile Galaxy Note SGH-T879?

For those of you wondering how to root your T-Mobile Galaxy Note SGH-T989, you can use the AT&T root method as hardware is identical to the AT&T SGH-i717 version.

As for custom ROMs, please do not flash AT&T Galaxy Note ROMs.  Users have reported success though that custom ROMs work fine so long as you flash T-Mobile modem back on after flashing ROM on Touchwiz-based ROMs.  CM9/CM10/AOKP/AOSP ROMs are not working though so don’t flash i

Rocket ICS ROM v10 for Rooted Galaxy Note GT-N7000! [Best ROM]

For this week, I am running Rocket ICS ROM version 10 on my rooted Galaxy Note GT-N7000(please DO NOT FLASH on i7171). I think this is the “best ROM” this week as I have tried the latest versions of all the ROMs. Of course, every week it changes as ROM developers make changes and upload new versions. But I really feel like Rocket ICS ROM v10 is the way to go “right now”.

And if you don’t like this ROM, try Criskelo ICS ROM or KingDroid ICS ROM, both which are also just as good as Rocket ICS ROM. Ho

Paranoid Android Jelly Bean ROM for AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717!

For those of you who have been asking me for Jelly Bean on your AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717 (or Canadian models starting with i717), I am glad to tell you that Paranoid Android Jelly Bean ROM is ready for “beta” prime time.

This ROM isn’t by any means done but the good thing is that the developer of this ROM, Jamie Doege has been uploading new versions daily so you can quickly get updated when new fixes come out.

It’s certainly a usable daily driver ROM so long as you don’t mind some things not working fully like camcorder and Netflix. O

How to Root Galaxy Note 10.1!

For those of you who want to root your Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8000(3G version) or GT-N8013(Wifi version), here’s a tutorial on how to do that.

This root method will give you “root” on your Galaxy Note 10.1 and you will still be able to get OTA updates after rooting. The root method works by injecting root to an official Samsung firmware, meaning it will also not increase binary count so you will be able to fully unroot easily (actually just one click in SuperSU app) and return for warranty.

UPDATE: I don’t recommend this method anymore as you can
