Thanks Max, I only ran into two problems:

    1. To do a factory reset and a catch wipe the power button doesn’t work, it’s the home button that we need to press to say okay.

    2. Everything runs like butter, not problem except that it won’t allow me to do an firmware upgrade Over the Air for some odd reason and Kies doesn’t support firmware upgrade for my phone.

I am getting the best radio reception with this firmware compare to the other rooted one and my screen has never gone black or frozen as some of the rooted ones. Maybe there is a way to get the latest firware for bell without Unrooting my phone or to Root it with another Firmware but having the right files to flash the best modem to get the BEST reception. I have notice a very small decrease in bars when with the AT&T firmware.

I know with your expertice, you can help me with this,
    Thanks,
    Eric

There should be a way to upgrade to ICS when it comes out but it’s not out yet, hit me up when it’s out and I will post it or vice versa.

You may be running into these problems because this instruction is for the Bell Galaxy Note. Which does not have a home keys, instead it has 4 soft keys (unfortunately). Also, if you flashed the Bell stock ROM for a device that is not on the Bell network you may run into software update issues since it is the carrier that pushes out the updates.

I called Bell Mobility and it’s out on the Over the Air update since July 16 2012 but they reffered me to Samsung Canada since they don’t know why I can’t received it. I dindn’t tell them it was rooted before.

    I love your work!

    • Max says:

You don’t need to if you are on Bell, modem flashing is really only for Tmo users.

      • Eric says:

thanks, you should get paid by Android since you are preventing people from leaving the android system for apple due to lack of updates. I came really close in giving up on Samsung, I was about trade my galaxy note for a galaxy nexus or an iphone and swear never to go back until found your website. I hope android will be making there own phone. I feel some company tend to forget about there customers after they purchased their phones.
