Saurom ROM for Rooted AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717![1.9GHz Overclocking][Best Custom ROM]

For those of you who want custom ROM on your AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717, I highly recommend you to try the Saurom ROM, which is pretty stable now and gives you “wings” with overclocking up to 1.9Ghz. I’ve got it running stable at 1.89Ghz with Quadrant scores around 4000. Other than that, it comes with customizable JKAYMODs allowing you to customize parts of the user interface.

UPDATE: Please see the latest Saurom ROM RC7.1 instead!!!

This ROM should give you much better battery life and faster performance and is probably the best custom ROM you can get for your AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717.

Try it out and let me know how it works for you!

Just ran out and got the Note. The rep at Best Buy told the Note has wi-fi calling. I use wi-fi calling alot since I have poor reception in my house. The new TMo Galaxy GSII has wi-fi calling. Does the Rom you reccomend still maintain any of this functionality? Can it be included if not in any updates?

    Thanks -

    Max;

Thanks for your great advise. I just rooted and installed CWM per your videos. I am cool with the stock ROM for now, but I would like to overclock my Note. Do I have to flash Saurom to get the overclock app/feature?

I have same problem and my flash player hasnt been working either. I have asked the question in you tube few days ago too but with no response. Will let you know if I hear anything as well.

      • _____hOmz says:

I had the same experienced about not turning off completely if u press and hold the physical power button. I added power off short cut key on my notification area and it works. Try adding one, hope I answer your question…

        • HawaiianJohn says:

I had the same problems… would reboot instead of shutting down totally. I installed ‘Quick Boot’ from Android Market (err… I mean Google Play)… and it works great. The great thing about it is you can boot straight into CWM with it instead of having to hold the buttons while it boots. ;)

  12. Drockafella says:

    hey thanks for the help!

but im missing the over clock kernel…any ideas?

  13. stephen callaway says:

after flashing this rom my phone will not connect to gsm or lte!!!! It deleted all the apn settings! done some research and not finding anything that helps.

    • Jeff says:

You can do either of two:

      1) You can enter the APN settings manually

      Name: ATT PTA
      APN: pta
      MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
      MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
      MMS port: 80
      MCC: 310
      MNC: 410
      Auth: none
      APN type: default,mms,supl,hipri

      2) or reflash Saurom and install ATT APN fix zip before rebooting:

    • HawaiianJohn says:

Get ‘Quick Boot’ from the Google Play store. It works great and allows you to shut down, reboot or boot into recovery!

  15. Shahin Khameneh says:

Will all these roms on this site that work on ATT work with N7000 also? Will this ROM work with N7000? Galaxy note is coming in a 2 days and i cant wait to root and mess with it!

  16. hOmz says:

After u flashed your rom into saurom rom u will notice that the home button is no longer vibrating. Well u can put it back by going to JKAY deluxe setting, set misc options and check home btn haptic feedbk.
